I hate to make such a negative post when, for the most part, things are going really well here. Chances are, if you're reading this, none of this applies to you. If any of you get bothered by a newbie demanding something, refer them to the forums, specifically to this post if they're being obnoxious. For the most part, all of you regulars are gentle with the polite, wanting-to-learn new folks, and try your best with the obnoxious, pushy, demanding new folks. Lately there has been an influx of the latter, and I can tell patience is wearing thin for all of us.
Since there have been some issues with the behavior of some dreamgoers in Four Star Farms, I'd like to clear up a few things.
1. You don't need a riding permit. No, really, you don't. The use of riding permit DS is for experienced roleplayers and staff members to practice for shows. It's not for playing around with.
2. We will not make an emit for you. If you have something important to say, say it on the forums. We will not interrupt the roleplay of others with pointless emits that do not interest others.
3. Do not make demands of me (Wyndlily) or my staff members. We're not here to be bossed around. Anyone demanding something from me, a staff member, or a "regular" (since they report being harassed too) will receive ONE stern warning before being booted.
4. It is advisable to check to see if someone is AFK before whispering them. Lately I'm coming back to 42 whispers of "Hello? Are you there?" Um, chances are if we're not responding, no, we're not there.
5. From now on, if you whisper me about checking a boarding application, I will just delete it. End of story. It takes a lot out of me to read the boarding applications, because I have to delete over half of them because people seem to be incapable of reading the rules first. I need to be in the first frame of mind to deal with them. I always check them in a timely fashion (within 10 days) anyway, so there's no need to harass me.
I'd also like to remind people that we do NOT have a "color rule", so whispering us about a purple pony in the indoor arena is useless, unless it's breaking an actual rule, i.e., interrupting roleplay. I know this is a change from what most people are used to, so this is an understandable mistake to make.
Carry on!
