In order to keep your stall at Four Star Farms, you must post a full roleplay log here once a month. This is to ensure that stalls are only taken up by active members of our community. If you fail to post a roleplay log, your stall will be removed in the next dream update and you will have to apply to board here all over again.
There is a new topic made for each month. In the first post, you'll see a list of all of the horses currently boarding at FSF. When you've completed your roleplay for the month, simply copy/paste the logs into a reply to that post. Your name will be crossed out on the list and you will be all set until the next month.
ROLEPLAY RULES
--The roleplay must take place at Four Star Farms. --The roleplay may be with *any* character, as long as it is not your own. You can roleplay with staff, another boarding horse, a feral cat, whatever. --The roleplay may be with more than two people. --The roleplay must consist of at least three posts from each person involved. --If two boarded horses roleplay with each other, it counts for BOTH of them. However, each player needs to post the logfile themselves. This ensures that you have an active, working forum account and that you are checking the forum regularly. --When you first start boarding at FSF, your 'confirmation' roleplay with a staff member DOES count for your first month, but you must remember to post it here.

King Of Calamity stood by the gate, his multiple blankets took off some of the chill but the stallion could still feel the chill of winter. Lower neck pushed almost painfully against the fencing, he waited for someone to come pick him up and take him inside where the heaters would warm him up. King shook his head to rid the quickly accumulation snow, the head shake turned into a whole body shake extra bits of snow flung from his back and neck. Before looking about he let out a loud whinny, intended to the stable hands who he hoped would come save him and his man parts!
Mason Hall rubbed his hands together and held them to his face, exhaling warm air in an attempt to bring back sensation to the numb digits. Pulling work gloves from his jacket pocket, he pulled them on and open and closed his hands a couple times. Brushing the snow from his hair, he looked around, wondering what in the world he was thinking, wandering around in the snow. Could he even find his way back to the barn? Would he die of hypothermia in this freak 'blizzard'? Distracted by a blur of movement, he walked over to investigate. Seeing it was a horse, he grunted, as though in greeting.
Chisholm, for some reason, had been turned out this evening without a paddock blanket on. Perhaps it was a new stablehand or something, or novice to say the least, but mare was starting to get really cold, way past the point of a chill by now. Nokota had grown up in the wild, so winters like this were nothing foreign to her. Just a bit colder here at Four Star than it was where she was born, but at least in a herd, one had numerous other bodies around to keep them warm. When external warmth was scarce, though, mare knew what to do. Pawing at the ground, hooves cleared a patch of snow to reveal the grasses that hid below. The patch was also set near a tree to try and keep her body heat close. Moving atop the cleared patch, legs folded to bring girth closer to the ground. Legs would surely get warmer from this, but it was still rather cold. Head was tucked in, only to be lifted again when something was heard through the falling snow. Someone to take her inside?
Winnie Sharphowl moved her way quickly when she heard another stablehand yelling at another, when she heard that Chisholm was put out to pasture without a blanket. She would have a word with them the next day as the one stablehand was leaving. Muttering, she quickly hurried out to the pasture with two blankets in hand. A lighter sheet for the first layer, then a thicker blanket for the top. Moving quickly towards the paddock Chizzy was in, she would spot the Noko laying on the ground near the tree. Clicking her tongue, she would hope the mare would get up so she could place the blankets on her. Though spotting another equine, and person she would smile, and greet the male.
King Of Calamity's face lit up as he noticed two people figures walking into the area, one came from the direction of the barn carrying more blankets. Oh goody! King thought they were for him, they weren't much but hey they'd make him warmer for sure. Turning to be parallel to the fence he trotted, neck arched. The boy was filled with excitement to get some attention, he hadn't been getting much of that lately, and by lately he meant the last 2 hours cause he was fed roughly 2 and a half hours ago. Grunts and neighs were emitted and committed to making the people give him attention, it was obvious that he was seeking attention.
Mason Hall had at first overlooked the mare folded up next to the base of the tree, only seeing her once he had moved closer to the corner where the fences intersected. His brow furrowed as he noticed that she donned no blanket of any sort and out of habit, looked around for someone to ask about it. Snow crystals seemed drawn to his eyelashes, where they melted and blurred his vision. Squinting in an attempt to see clearly, he muttered when it didn't work and removed his glove, quickly wiping at his eyes before tugging the thick canvas mit back on. When the bay horse started pacing the fenceline and making all sorts of noises, Mason looked at him, curious about what had excited him. Glancing over his shoulder, he saw a bi-ped figure approaching and turned. Seeing it was a girl with her arms full of horse equipment, he nodded - not much for greetings. "Can I help you with that?" he offered, indicating the blankets she was carrying, once she was within earshot.
Chisholm remained planted to the warmer earth for the time being as other stuff went on. Eyes flicked around first to the bay stallion in the other paddock that she hadn't been paying much attention to anyway. One of those horses that demanded attention be thrown to him, mare assumed. Not the high class bred warm blood or anything, Nokota was a rather easy going horse and perfect companion for any rider. Easy going or not though, it was too cold to stand up after she put forth all that effort to get warm again. As the clicks came from an approaching biped, mare immediately recognized it to be Winnie! Yay, her owner was around. Seemed the two had spent little time together lately, and perhaps because of that, the mare did not budge. Only the neck was extended toward the fence line in protest of getting up from her spot.
Winnie Sharphowl frowned when she saw that the mare wouldn't get up, so she draped the two blankets over the mare's bodice. Hearing the question from the male bi-ped, she would nod, "She looks like she's freezing, but won't stand. I will surely have a talk with the stablehand that put her out like this." A harsh tone could be noted in her voice, but was not directed at anyone but the person who did this to her Noko. Getting the blankets around the mare the best she could, she would sit down in the snow next to her, not minding the coldness on her legs.
Mason Hall watched as the girl cared for the mare, making the connection that it was her horse. He nodded when she spoke, not having any vocal response. He shivered slightly as a cold wind howled down his shirt collar, traveling down his spine. He felt like a whimp as he watched her sit in the snow, not seeming to mind the temperature. His covered hands disappeared into his pockets and his shoulders hunched as he guarded himself against the wind, shuffling somewhat. Feeling awkward at being so restless, he looked around in a failed attempt to appear casual. Maybe he really had forgotten how to get back to the barn...
Chisholm simply watched as the two leggeds conversed briefly, not always understanding what they said in their language and all. Once Winnie got the blankets on her, whether they were effective tied around her or not, mare kept her eyes on her own. Pretty much as soon as Win sat down in the snow, Noko rose to all fours to stand right in front of the feline as neck arched downward to sniff her owner's hair and head all over. Chiz just had to be difficult today didn't she? The blankets probably fell off by now as she rose depending on if they were tied around her neck or not. If the blankets were just draped on her back, they would have fallen to the ground to meet the snow. It didn't really matter to the mare though, even if she was cold. She hadn't seen her owner in a while, and was now going to be the good horse she usually was. Muzzle nudged at the girl's pockets, obviously looking for hand outs.

( Not sure if I need to post another rp since I think the previous one was my make-up rp for November, but my name is already crossed off for December, so I'm posting this anyway just to be sure. Feel free to delete if its not needed. )
Dika: had just been brought in from the whipping, bone chilling snowstorm outside, and her limbs ached terribly. Her normally superb Chestnut pelt was dusted with ice and snow, and small icicles rested in her mane. She shuffled to the corner of her box, leaned against the well-insulated walls, and proceeded ro rub the ice crystals off of her coat. Her normally bright attitude was sullen and snappy. She flicked her tail restlessly and began warming up. She suddenly sprang to life and tottered hungrily around the stall, neighing shrilly for the evening meal. She was an unusually impatient horse, and tonight was no different. She flung her hoof halfheartedly at the stall door and danced around, paying no attention to the stares and low complaints from the other equines.
Chisholm had been out in the snow a few hours ago, but now it was time to be inside in the warmth. She actually had a blanket this time while outside, so no rough coldness set in on her like last time. A stablehand had brought her in, but led her to a different stall than where she usually rested for the night. Idly resting in her box, commotion came from the next stall over. Seemed one horse wasn't quite content with being brought in for the night, or perhaps it was just their usuall routine. Chiz wouldn't know since she wasn't usually housed in this stall at nights, and therefore didn't know what other horses slept in these nearby stalls. At night, the Nokota liked quiet, or at least a decent sense of quietness to rest to, but this horse next to her just wasn't going to cut it. Chizzy gave a low whicker in the direction of the stall next to her as a sign of her displeasure with the shrill noise the chestnut was emitting.
Winnie Sharphowl chuckled softly, hearing that a roan noko mare was brought inside. Well since most of the horses here were eventers and warmbloods, she knew Chizzy was the one that was brought inside. Quickly moving to the boxstall, the wrong one at that, she would peer in. "Hey girl. In out of the cold are we? How was your turnout today?" She would idly talk to the mare, knowing that her horse couldn't understand her. Slipping inside the stall, she would move up to her, and offer her a sugar cube. Hearing the other horse, she would shake her head, wondering where the other equine came from.
Dika: Dika finally stopped her peace-breaking charade and settled into the corner of her stall. She began to swivel her ears, the human equivalent of tapping one's fingers, in thought. She suddenly jumped up as the light snapped on in her petite head. She knew everyone must be wondering where it was she came from. She could never be a quiet lesson pony or subtle trail horse. She was a top-dollar eventing mare, with a few bugs in the system. Many a pretty penny were spent trying to calm her down and de-spookify [if that is a word]her. Her owner was currently recovering from the last spook incident and was also currently looking for a new hopeful horse-owner that would pay a high dollar for Dika. Dika was aware of the current situation, and was actually happy to be rid of the dreadful woman. She was hoping to find a better rider who would buy her and take her to her full potential. She flicked her tail impatiently as the stablehands tossed hay over the stall door and towed feedbuckets, too.
Chessica: "Hello darling..." Whispered a soft spoken, sweet voice. Chessica was still, standing in the corner of the stall and watching the sweet mare. She looked through sweet eyes. "How are you feeling, sweetie..." Chessica trailed off. This was quite the cute mare. Young doll pressed her lips together, searching in her pocket for a sugar cub, before pulling it out.
Chisholm paid little more attention to whatever horse was in the other stall once the familiar voice of her owner was heard, and soon eyes told the truth it was her. Maybe she'd know why a stablehand put her in this foreign stall. Chiz heard "Hey, girl" enough to recognize it as a greeting in the human language since Win always seemed to say it when she greeted the mare. One other language that the mare was fluent in was food! And without a moment of hesitation, the Nokota's velvety lips curled around the sugar cube that was presented. An ear flicked about as another human voice was heard now in the other stall where the noisey mare was. Guess someone was there now to calm the beast? Attention turned back to Win, though, as mare moved to sniff about her face and head in play.
Winnie Sharphowl giggled softly, feeling the mare start to play. "I know girl, I know. I haven't been around lately. A lot of new boarders have come in." Hand came up and stroked the cheek of the mare, "Not to mention the new stablehands that can't read the signs on the stalls." She shook her head before she looked up at the mare's brown eyes. "We'll get a day together soon, girl. I promise."
Chisholm, again, didn't understand the human language with the new words Winnie was saying, but by the tone of things, she was speaking something kind. And so mare would act accordingly. Even if the snow was falling outside, making it terribly cold to do much, Chizzy wouldn't let that stop her from enjoying the time with her owner. Sniffing had ceased as Noko started to playfully nip the end's of Win's haid like a foal might do to its mother's tail or mane. As muzzle neared the girl's shoulder, roan mare would rub into her shoulder in a sort of hint of wanting to go back to her stall and not get left here where the stablehand put her.
Winnie Sharphowl smiled as she felt the ends of her hair being nibbled on. "And this is why I don't get my hair done at a fancy place." She would take the lead that was hanging on the stall door and clip it to Chizzy's halter. Once she did so, she would open the door and lead the roan mare out and into her original stall. "There you go. Home sweet home.. Erm.. Stall sweet stall?" She chuckled at herself before she unclipped the lead and closed the door.
Chisholm remained still and obient for Winnie to clip the lead on her halter before the mare was led out of the foriegn stall. Chizzy followed along next to Win through the barn to her usuall stall. Hooves made a nice clip clopping sound as she walked on through the barn. Once released into her comfy stall, mare did a few circles about it, took a drink from the water container, then looked back to see if Win was still around.
Winnie Sharphowl chuckled softly, watching her move to the water trough. "Good girl. I'll see what the schedule is for tomorrow and the next few days. If it's light, I'll come by and tack you up and we can go for a ride in the snow." A smile came across her face as she thought of riding in the snow. What a sight that would be.
Chisholm saw Winnie through the barring on the front of the stall. Judging by her voice, it was time for goodbye for the night. And sure enough, mare watched the feline leave to go check the schedule.
