I figure this is the best place to put this sucker :] So this week I had a revelation;
There are so many horses IC without owners to RP them. Likewise, there are owners that would like some RP in, but don't have the time or desire to own a horse.
What if FSF sponsored a "fostering" program, where the owner would hypothetically pay a small amount to care for the horse and its boarding, but it would still technically be for sale, of course. The goal would be to show the horse, possibly, work on its talents, and make it more "sellable" or "people-friendly", while both sides benefit from the RP. What do you think of this idea?

That seems very similar to leasing or half-lease in real life, which we would support. Leasing/half-leasing can be brought up with me on a case-by-case basis... it's never been anything that people are very interested in, but it does get occasionally mentioned.
FWIW, staff members are expected to roleplay with unowned horses IC specifically for the same reasons -- work on skills, make the horse more sellable, etc.
