CrosstiesIn several locations of the barn, you will notice red "straps" hanging off the fronts of stalls. These are the crosstie straps! To put yourself in crossties, stand between the straps, facing either SW or SE, and press F3. (NOTE: This only works if you are an equine.) It's that simple! To 'break' the crossties, simply walk away.

Feeding/EatingEvery stall at FSF has a two-part feeder: the top holds hay, and the bottom holds grain. It is possible to fill either or both parts of the feeder, and if you are playing as an equine, it is possible to eat the food that's in there. First, let's cover eating: it's quite simple. Just walk into a feeder and you will eat whatever's in there. If there is hay AND grain in a feeder, you will eat the grain first. Just walk into it a second time to eat the hay! Feeding is a little bit more complex. Let's cover grain first. Walk into the feed room and bump the stack of empty buckets near the door. This will put an empty bucket in your hand. Next, bump into one of the tubs of grain. This will fill the bucket that you are holding. Then walk into any stall and bump into the feeder. The feeder will fill up with grain, and your bucket will disappear. Voila! Hay requires a similar technique. Head back to the feed room and bump into the stacks of hay bales. This will put a flake of hay into your hands. Go into any stall and bump into the feeder to fill it with hay.

Give an AppleWant to give your favorite horse a treat? It's super easy! Walk into the tack room. To your immediate right is a box of apples on the ground. Bump into it to recieve an apple! (It goes into your hands automatically.) Then, walk right up to your favorite horse and say !treat. The horse will recieve the apple. A horse can eat it by saying !eat-apple. Enjoy!

Jump Height ChangeThis is a staff-only command. However, if you ask politely, a staff member will raise or lower the jumps for you! The commands !jumps-up and !jumps-down will raise or lower the heights of the jumps in the stadium jumping course for more realistic roleplay.

RidingThe riding script at FSF is a little complex. We are hesitant to allow just anyone to use it. You must ask a staff member politely to grant you access to the riding permits, and they have every right to deny you access if they feel you will be abusing the privledge. Staff may hand out riding permits using the command !riding-permit. Both the horse and the rider need permits to use the script. After picking up the permits, the horse should say !tack, while the rider says !ride. Next, the horse should use Furcadia's "lead" command to start leading the rider around. To stop riding, break off the lead-follow chain and either say !stopride or drop your riding permit. If staff sees you walking around the map as the riding localspecies (which look very weird), they have the right to eject you on sight with no warning. If you are not riding, say !stopride and shut it off!
