Yup, it did.
I will not be back for a while either. I just wanted people to know I'll be gone for a few months, at most six!
I'm just about to go to conformation classes for "Chillie", I'm at the library nearby so I may stop here once a month to catch up and give updates if anyone is interested. I have one more stop to make then I'm heading on out.
The trip went along just great, I got the cold in conjunction to it but otherwise everything was just fine. I'm fine, and everyone else is aka dogs and Mom.
Will miss you all, but I shall be back before you all know it! There is a PM to Spazzled Parakeet, someone please let her know to check it. Thanks!

Oh no! But THANK YOU for posting. I was legitimately starting to get worried! I didn't think the specialty was going to be -this- long. Take care of yourself, and absolutely pop in from time to time and tell us dog stories! I'll miss having you around the OOC table. Hope the computer problem gets fixed as soon as possible.

I hope so as well, we are trying our best to find a solution because right now so many Keeshond breeders' want to e-mail us their pedigrees and such and it was untimely for it to bust! At any rate, as I posted on my journal I do have a doggie story or two to share!
Maddie, our nine-year-old Samoyed is recovering from Pyo or Pyometra. It's an infection of the uterus which is life threatening and naturally we'd normally have spayed her at six or seven but just did not. Now, we into to continue our policy of doing so. We nearly lost her, as the infection went into her tubes! Just another reason for anyone who has a pet to realize the 'true' importance of spay/neutering a dog can have. We were thankful to have caught it when we did and even more thankful she was able to come out of it alive.
As I said before, Keeshonds are something we are looking into. We may be possibly taking on a two-year-old boy who had a slightly awful owner who spoiled the living hell out of him! His breeder, now has him and wishes him to be shown as he is 'that' good. Sadly, she's going into surgery, this weekend she will come to a decision whether she would like us to take him and show him/finish him for her as we will be doing many show outings obviously! I'm hopeful, this would be a great first taste to this new breed.
In other news, not much else. Excitedly, we are getting Ember into Agility so this should be great for her! It will give her something to think and do about! I miss ya -- maybe in January I may have a computer! And thank you so much for the concern --- I will probably be visiting the library again in two weeks so a more update will come! Till then!

I wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year!
Still without a computer, and no new doggies as of current! However, I did take Chillie to two dog shows since my last visit to the computer in the library last. She was entered in American-bred and she was the only one entered. When going into Winners, she didn't do so well. I showed her at a dog show in East Lansing, Michigan and one in Cleveland, Ohio last weekend.
Learning about the Keeshond has been quite interesting to say the least. I've been discouraged because we were told that you must trim a lot to win. Though it's been told to me this is NOT the case. I have finally come to the decision to co-own a Pomeranian instead for now until I can learn more about this other new breed. Our prospective new puppy will be coming from VA which is exciting because as discussed with my Mother we intend to start traveling out east for BIG dog shows. Why? Because, I am happy to also announce that we've finally picked a Stud for Chillie, she's due for heat in March/April and once we get the Pom we'd really like to get heavily involved with showing again. We intend to keep two puppies from Chillie and we are confident that her 'get' should be quite nice with the pairing.
I hope all is well, I do APOLOGIZE for the huge delay showing dogs has been taking much of our time. I should be able to reply again at the beginning of January! Miss ya all <3
