Saera wiped her hand 'cross her brow whilst she arrived at the barn doors. Her locks were pulled expertly into a pony tail, the elastic from her wrist snapping crisply in the process. Jaw stretched in a wide yawn covered by her gloved palm, her opposite arm reaching out at the air. She'd had a long night last night, but today was another day, and a beautiful one at that. The feline saw to it that the horses' breakfasts were given to them as stated on the charts in the feed room, and afterward she'd make the rounds with her wheelbarrow, clearing out the empty stalls on her first tour. She passed by a quite familiar face, to which she'd halt and examine for a moment.
Chung: The sun was rising from its sleep sending the moon to rest on the other side of the world. As a black and white mare flinched for unknown reason's foot steps was heard making her rise from the ground that she rested on. Gazing trough the doors she saw that it was the same one as before there for they must be greeted. A soft nicker was emitted to the human as the black and white dove walked to the door. Each step was taken carefully and slowly so that she would not trip or stumble. Flaring her nares as her light pink maw went out to sniff her making sure if it was her. This dove was careful of whom she trusted she did not give away her trust to easily it had to be earned.
Saera smiled sweetly at the timid creature, gently setting down the handles of the wheelbarrow. "Hey, girl, remember me?" She asked, her voice a wind chime in the breeze. Her hand reached out carefully to the girl's nose, hoping that she could register her scent through her work gloves. Perhaps she could make an excuse to enter her stall, such as a nice grooming session-- the mare appeared neglected in all sorts of ways. Picking up a near by halter, she'd slide in ever so cautiously and hold it out for her to identify.
Chung: The mare sniffed with curiosity her hand this time, it had a little bit of an other scent to it but it was hard for her to identify what it was. Coming to her attention she has seen the door opening was she going to lead her out into the pasture then leave her like the rest did? Seeing that there was something in her hands she sniffed it carefully it had a few other scent's of horses on it. As she pulled her skull back closer to her she waited to see if she was just going to put her up in a pasture the leave her alone.
Saera, seeing that it was safe, slipped the halter onto the mare's head, adjusting it to fit over her ears. She then extracted a short lead from her hoodie pocket, clipping it onto the lowermost brass hoop. "C'mon," she puckered her lips, emitting kissing sounds to lure the Paint through the open door and into the aisle. The cross ties awaited them there, and as soon as they turned south west the feline reached out for each, on at a time, and attached them to the sides of her crimson halter. A near by grooming kit was hunted down and retrieved. Saera'd extract a curry comb from its depths, and hold it under the mare's nose before working it in circles across her onyx and alabaster coat.
Chung: The mare felt the warmth of the thing on her skin she did not know what to call it. When she thought about this, yet another thing she had not seen for quite some time popped into her face, it was the cleaning tools that her passed owner used on her before they went into the show. The feel of the brush on her coat felt great if she could purr like a cat right now she would gladly. Trying to turn her skull she could only move it but a few ways on each side. Pulling at it a few times she gave up knowing that she could not break it and it would be disrespectful to the human that was cleaning her horrible looking coat.
Saera hummed to herself as the brushes moved over her pelt one at a time, each for five to ten minute intervals. By the time she came to the hoof pick, the mare's coat had begun to glow healthily, as opposed to the neglected appearance it portrayed earlier. The girl's hand ran down the backs of each leg, prodding the hoof to be picked up and cleaned. Once finished, Sae gave a good pat to her neck, and stood in front of her to examine her work.
Chung: The dove relaxed as the brushes smoothed her coat and made it shine back to its normal self. She felt like her old self again when she was a show horse and so on. Almost prancing when the cleaning was done she waited to see what was going to happen next. If the rope's would have been so tight she would have been prancing back and forth. It was like the old Chung had shown herself. Her ears pricked forward as her tail whipped back and forth she felt so much cleaner then she was before. Weird how such a small little thing as this can make Chung happy to be alive and well.
Saera giggled at the horse's reaction to her grooming, and set the kit aside for the next time it was needed. Next, the girl left for the tack room, returning with a newly polished brown leather saddle and bridle. She held them out for the mare to inspect, and walked over to her side to place the saddle pad snug behind her withers. To do this, she set the pad over her withers and onto her mane, and pulled it back gently-- this way, no hairs could be caught underneath the saddle pad in the wrong direction and become uncomfortable for the horse. The saddle followed in line, the girth being tightened just so before reinspected in the corral. She waited for the bridle to be equipped, as her goal was to get the mare accustomed to riding again.
Chung: The Dove eyes seemed to glow when she has seen her walk back up to her with a saddle in her arm's. She stood still and waited at her to put the saddle on her back. As she asked of the bit she took it in after the second time because the metal was cold on her tongue. After a while it should warm up from her body heat soon as it was in her mouth she started to play with it in her mouth. She awaited for the human to tell her what to do next but she thought she knew what was going to happen next.
Saera pet the girl's neck, telling her without words that she was being a good girl. The last step was to undo the cross ties and lead her out into the crisp morning atmosphere. The feline escorted her to the nearest empty arena and shut the gate in their wake. They walked to the center of the enclosed area and Saera smiled, rubbing the dual toned neck heartily."Ready, girl?" the feline asked excitedly while tightening to girth to a comfortable yet snug level. A black boot was slung into the stirrup and provided a launching surface to Saera's body, which heaved itself into the saddle swiftly and cleanly.
Chung: Feeling the pat on her she knew that was a good sign she was doing as she was asked. Waiting to be unhooked from the ropes she knew she should stand in place instill she was told to move once again. All her past training and lessons was coming back to her ever so slowly she had been alone for over one year. And she finely had found someone that she could relay on for love and care but her trust with her was not full as of yet. Right now she seemed nice and kind but before you know it she could turn into a human that beats horses. Feeling weight on her side she knew that the human must be getting up on the saddle to go for a ride. When she felt the weight was sifted on her back correctly she took a few steps forward at a slow paced walk. The mare was ready to go for a ride she missed the ring people clapping and cheering on the side lines.
Saera gathered up the reins in her hand, both mentally and physically preparing herself for the ride. Her confidence in the saddle drove her onward, and she instantly felt at home. The first round of the rectangular arena was at a walk, with Saera sitting tall and solidly on the horse's back. Upon reaching the corner, the feline would silently command a transition into a trot using only her heels, and gently so. She would have to identify the training level and assets of the mare before riding for pleasure.
