Anyone who is interested -- yes, that means YOU! -- can hold a show or other event at Four Star Farms. A lot of people have made note of the lack of shows lately. Instead of complaining, do something about it!
I can only hold so many shows, and it gets tiresome being the judge all of the time. If you think you're up to the (small) challenge of hosting a show here, please contact me -- either via whisper or through PM. I can help you get started and tell you what you need to know.
Keep in mind that all shows must be held indoors until April 1st -- then you are free to host events outdoors as well. The indoor arena is only suited for halter shows, informal "gaits" classes, pleasure classes, and dressage events.

After talking to some of my staff members, we've come up with some policies regarding hosting events here, as well as an incentive. 1. Auctions must be posted an hour in advance, and must be run by a staff member with share. Staff members do -not- need my permission to host an auction, but they do need to record buyers/horses for sale the way I do in all of the auction posts. (See any of the 'past events' for an example.) 2. Shows must be posted at least 24 hours in advance, and you must have my permission to run them. A staff member who hosts a successful show (meaning 4+ participants) will receive pay for that month as long as they have roleplayed at least once. 3. Non-staff members can host shows or other events (not auctions), but a staff member with share must be selected to judge the event. Non-staff members who hold an extremely successful show will receive a small token of appreciation from management. In addition, if you decide to apply for a job here, it will be taken into account and work in your favor. 4. Yes, if you host an event that has 4+ participants, I will provide desctag prizes for the winners! If I am not able to be there for the event, they will be awarded as soon as I return.
